Mind Body Fat Loss

ok, so i used to eat a pb and j sandwich for breakfast and drink a synthesix on my way to school, and i wouldnt eat 1st period and then 2nd id eat another pbj and next period a synthesix and so on till school let out. then id go to the gym for an hour to 2 hours and do heavy weight and cardio. i was gaining muscle quick but my body fat % was about 15% and i wanted to drop it to show abs so i went to a nutrition store and they put me on a special diet. they want me to eat 3 whole eggs and one egg white, and 3 pieces of toast (for breakfast) 3 hours later a protein shake and an apple, 3 hours later 5 ounces of chicken breast with a baked potato, 3 hours later another protein shake and 8 almonds, 3 hours later 5 ounces of any type of lean meat and half a cup of greens, 3 hours later another protein shake with a teaspoon of peanut butter and then go to bed
i started this today and going from eating pbj or a protein shake every hour every hour to eating every 3 hours, of course im starving most of the time, and when i went to the gym, i was starving and i had to cut the workout short and couldnt even get to cardio cause i felt so weak and ended up getting very light headed
and im not a small guy or weak or anything, im 17 and weigh about 162 pounds and im about 5’11″
so what do you think? should i reconsider this diet? i dont mind losing fat and just keeping the same amount of muscle as opposed to gaining muscle but if its going to cause me to lose any muscle i definitely dont want that. priority #1 for me is keep muscle and then #2 lose fat
what should i do?
You might want to add more vegetables to fill you up more between the meals, if you intend to stay on the diet. It is probably sound enough, but you don’t want to be hungry all of the time. although the hunger may not be an issue after some days once your body adjusts. I would actually eat loads of veggies and perhaps more fruit, and more assorted nuts, some lentils, and fish or linseeds for fatty oils, you need them
Hello,
I’m 14, 5’8 1/2, and about 140 pounds.
I want to loss weight fast, but don’t know how. I’ve tried running…that DID NOT work. I wouldn’t mind joining a sport, but i’m, not very good at it and I don’t go to public school (So I couldn’t play through school). I dont mind walking, I just can’t get myself to do it everyday. And now that it’s getting colder, I just don’t want to go outside. I’m a tad bit lazy if you haven’t guessed…
So, any exersices to help loss body fat that you can do at home?
Also,
I need tips to a healthy diet…Like what to eat and when. I read that you have to keep eating allllll day, like eat oatmeal when you wake up, then 20 mins later eat an apple, and so on.
Thanks
No rude comments please!
your fastest route to do so is
cardio on empty stomach before u have breakfast.. that way body feeds off fat storage for energy..
or… u can join the gym lift weights first.. then do cardio after weight training…
u will burn lots of fat that way
Hi
I’m in fairly good shape as for my legs and and arms; however, I have some body fat covering my abs and i was wondering at this moment should I do crunches? I’m doing 30 mins of cardio each day to lose that fat but unfortunately fat loss is not on a specific spot. So again, my question is that should I do crunches while I have a layer of fat covering of my abs? Keep in mind it is not a beer belly, it is fairly flat, just a tad bit squishy.
Yes, you would have to do hours of cardio a day to see results. Build more muscle, that will not only tone but the more muscle you have, the more calories you will burn. So if you maintain correct form to build up your abdominal muscles, it will be worth it.
Can you please tell me if this is a good plan for weight loss?
I asked this already, but I made a few modifications.
I am an 18 year old guy.
I currently weigh 170lbs; 22% body fat
I am 5′ 7″
And want to have a swimmers body aha
I want to lose 40 pounds. Preferably in 4-5 months.
With all of that info in mind, please tell me if this is possible with what I am doing:
I am eating very healthy.
Lean meats, veggies, fruits, protein, fiber, etc.
No soda.
Just water.
I am also exercising 5-6 days a week.
My cardio is mainly swimming due to a foot injury.
I plan on swimming for 45 minutes 3-4 days a week.
And then doing weights/eliptical the other days.
I am restricting my calorie intake to 1200-1500 calories a day.
I have read that 1200-1500 is way too many calories.
But I have also read that 1200-1500 is not enough calories.
Can someone please help me?
And I don’t want to be really muscular, I want to be thin/lean.
I am really motivated, but I need to get my facts straight.
Thank you!
Well, I am running track this year and I eat really light and healthily now. Will running track help me lose a lot of body fat? And what is the best way low fat diet that will maximize my results. I know I need to eat complex carbs for meets and what not, but what way of eating will help me lose fat the best?
I dont mind strict diets.
Thanks alot!
If you are running track and training regularly then you will be burning calories and therefore will lose some fat mass, as well as building some lean muscle and getting tone, which is beneficial for your body. You do need to eat complex carbs and try and eat wholemeal foods and whole grains rather than things like white bread or white pasta as they tend to be made from refined flour. Also try and steer clear of refined sugary foods, fatty foods, fried food, take outs, processed and junk foods, and sodas or sugary drinks. Eat lots of fresh produce and fruit and veg and try and consume a good amount of protein such as lean meat, lentils, eggs, fish etc,. You will probably need to consume around 1800-2000 calories a day to provide you with enough energy for training and also remember to drink lots of water. A good way to structure meals is to eat lots of small meals/snacks a day. So, if you are consuming an 1800 calorie per day diet, then it would be a good idea in the course of the day to eat 6 meals of 300 calories each once every two hours, as this keeps your metabolism going and can help to boost weight loss.
High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is what you are looking for. HIIT is designed to burn fat fast, this is due to the short bursts of high intensity training coupled with the longer recover period. These types of exercises increases the Metabolic rate so you burn calories even when resting.
For a much harder workout, you might want to try longer bursts of High intensity training, with shorter rest intervals as demonstrated in the Insanity workout program.
ie: more water, NO bread, No sweets, No fried foods, No eating after 7pm, etc. I realize ALL of the above are extremely important in weight loss. But which would have the greatest effect on body fat loss & if you wouldn’t mind stating why. thank you!
Not eating after 7PM!!!!! Your body shutdowns while sleeping and everything you eat gets converted into pure fat that you can’t get rid of easily because while exercising later this pure fat is not burned until your system burns muscle.
I hear different things. I have a lot of endurance so im a little more down with long distance low intensity cardio, but i don’t mind interval training either. Anyway im trying to get ripped so i need to be lean, so which type of cardio is best for losing body fat? or maybe a combo of the two?. I’m obviously going to be lifting too but i have that covered.
Hello everyone. I have a quick question, which I need a pretty specific reply if you don’t mind. So basically, what is the best exercise for fat loss (body fat)? I have access to a local gym, and I have a large neibhorhood (my resources). So if anyone educated with this topic can answer this, your answer will be greatly appreciated.
Do the FX 12 workout and diet program. It’s great for burning fat, getting fit and toned fast. The videos are free on the Fat X 101 blog. Good luck!
i think stretch marks are pretty much permanent.they will fade over time and there is supposedly some cremes or lotions on the market that can help reduce the appearance of stretch marks.im sure the best ones are rather expensive.
I have about 15 – 20 pounds to lose to be at my feel-good weight. I’m wondering what would be the better – higher reps at a lighter weight or less reps at a heavier weight? I’m happy with the muscle in my body but I wouldn’t mind be a little stronger. My goal is fat loss! I will be doing cardio 6 times a week (3 light – moderate and 3 moderate – high intensity.) Thanks.
firstly, in your diet you want to make sure your having enough protein in your diet. if you don’t have enough protein you’ll lose muscle.
keep your protein intake high, and do high reps with lighter weight, try doing two excersizes back to back aswel. should help you out.
Im 18 year old girl. I was very active in sport activities, did competitive cheer leading, played volley ball, played basketball my senior and junior year and pretty much stayed fit. I had a visible 4 pack my body fat percentage was 14% which is as low for a girl without compromising health and hormone issues. Now i have graduated and i recently had a car accident which left my wrist and my back with minor pains and i became seriously ill for a little bit. These set back made me unable to do the things that i used to do and a little lazy. i gained weight and lost muscle now after 8 months my body fat percentage is 26.5 and i gained stretch marks from quickly growing from my previously small frame. i am now feeling better and will return my old routines. I always eat right and i am going to the gym 5 days a week doing resistance weight training and high interval training on the treadmill. i burn more calories than i take in. In addition to that i exfoliate my skin during showers and put Palmer’s cocoa butter twice a day on all my stretch marks. If i continue working hard losing fat gaining muscle toning and tightening up my skin to the point where i have abs and no fat in my body that is not required for my health. Will i by any chance be able to get rid of these marks. Keep in my mind i am not losing fat quickly because it will cause more stretch marks. Please help me its a little frustrating and embarrassing and since the places where i have stretch marks are looser and store more fat tightening up those places seems like a solution to possible getting rid of them. Please be honest with me and no rude comments i take this seriously and i am a pretty young active girl who likes to have fun and go to the beach. Thanks in advance
