I’m 5’8, and 139 pounds. I want to lose 5 pounds, but depending on how well I like the slim down, I might continue to 10. I’m going to swim for a half hour everyday, and eat no more than 1,600 calories with a healthy diet. Is there anything else I should add on to this? I hate to run so I figured swimming would be a good alternative.
I have a friend who is not able to eat solid foods, and he is on a regiment of ensure and yogurt. He was about 340lbs, or so and managed to drop a ton of weight from this…I was thinking of doing this to jumpstart my weight loss, but I am not sure it is healthy.
I’ve started working out pretty frequently and lifting a lot of weights, I don’t however follow a diet in which I eat a lot of protein etc. sometimes after a workout I’ll have some tuna or something but that’s it. Im just wondering will I still see results even though I don’t eat really well
Ive been counting calories and feel like i cant enjoy food, like in general all food, because of the calories and counting. My friend is th one who got me to start counting cals and says i need to do it to make sure i dont over eat but for 3 months i didnt count cals and lost 20 pounds. So can i just eat healthy and not count, or is it as important as she says? If it helps im a 16 year old girl, 5’3, and weigh 140.
Ok so my little sister is 17 and she wanted to lose weight bad;y . She has started this diet of 3 smoothies a day and NOTHING ELSE . just a cup of tea . The smoothies contain strawberries banana and raspberry’s with yogurts and she has this 3 times a day , do you think she is having a enough??? could her body go into starvation mode? or is she eating enough??
Ive tried eating healthy for couple days but I always seem to be unable to stay away from the junk food and the whole meal plan falls apart. Any help on how I can keep myself on a diet for longer time?
I do not want to take supplements or vitamin pills but I would like to have a more iron rich diet, more
Fiber filled diet, and more vitamins A, C, and D.
Normally over the course of the day I’ll eat low-fat yogurt, half a serving of OJ, about 10-15 grapes, a serving of trail mix (peanuts, cashews, almonds, m&ms), 15-25 baby carrots, bell peppers/cucumbers/zucchini (varies a lot), sometimes spinach, sometimes a smoothie made of 10 strawberries/1 banana/a cup of lemonade, a peanut butter and honey sandwich a few times a week, sometimes grilled cheese sandwiches, and some days eggs. For dinner it varies a lot because my family isn’t vegetarian. What should I incorporate more of? Eggs? Should I have at least one a day? I eat them hard-boiled with no extra seasoning. I try not to eat junk-food snacks but slip up on occasion. Cheese sneaks into my diet a lot because I love it so much, should I try to limit it? I try to eat small portions of food spread out over the course of the day except, is this the best way? I’m just trying to have the healthiest diet possible, any suggestions?

Genetics rule but most people don’t gain because they don’t rest enough, don’t eat enough and don’t squat,Google 20 rep squats.
